Adult Hip Hop     Register

Target Audience: Adults of any dance background
Time: Monday 6:30-7:30

Description: All experience levels welcome. Come out to learn a new routine every week! Dancers should wear loosely fitting athletic clothes and tennis shoes!

Beginning Improv 2: Breaking the Rules     Register

Teacher: Laura Crim
Target Audience: 8-12- year old students with limited to some acting experience
Time: Thursdays 6pm-7pm

Description: An extension of Beginning Improv, it is not required you had improv with me, just some experience in the past. We will explore the world of improv from Mack Napier's book, Scenes from the Inside Out. This improv master challenges the "Rules" of improv and moves actors to try new ground with their strategies onstage while improvising. Crim will take your student through the new approach to improv while enhancing improv skills already mastered and encouraging even further exploration of the world of improv. Class will end with a short form presentation...or will it be long form...or will it have a form..hmm???

Foundations of Acting     Register

Getting Down to Business (Advanced Training)     Register

Description: Students who have completed Fundamentals are eligible for Core training. This class focuses on
- scripted materials, and the business of acting.
- Auditioning (cold readings/prepared audition pieces)
- Movement for the actor
- Stanislavski Intermediates (text analysis/beats of action/method of physical action)

Preparing for Auditions FEB 24 (Pick ONE day)     Register

Teacher: Hans Boeschen, Katie Hilliger, Jordan Harper
Target Audience: Grades 2-12
Time: Saturday 10:00- 1:00 pm
Dates: February 24

Description: This workshop will provide you with the tools needed to feel confident for our summer show Shrek The Musical Jr. auditions the following month. Learn how to present yourself including:
-techniques specific to cold-readings from a script
-being an actor while using your singing voice
-learning audition choreography and performing it with energy and expression
**Participation in this workshop does not guarantee a role in our summer production but will be a helpful tool for feeling prepared and confident.

Preparing for Auditions FEB 25 (Pick ONE day)     Register

Description: This is a workshop designed to improve, stage presence, self-confidence, and fearlessness in theatre! This workshop focuses on team building, taking chances and finding out what makes us stand out on stage. A fun playful workshop that will create a more confident actor!

Private Acting     Register

Target Audience: All ages
Time: 30 minute private sessions (minimum of 3 sessions)
Registration Deadline: Open
Tuition: $25 per session ($75 for 3 sessions)
Description: Have an audition coming up? Working on a show and need help understanding your character? Always wanted to try acting but never wanted to with a group of strangers? Sign up for 3 sessions of Private Acting Classes. Christine Hellman will contact you to schedule your sessions.

Private Voice     Register

Teacher: Jordan Harper
Target Audience: All ages
Time: 30 minute private sessions (minimum of 3 sessions)
Registration Deadline: Open
Tuition: $25 per session ($75 for 3 sessions)
Description: Students will learn proper techniques for performing musical theatre songs including legit, belt, and high voice singing. Jordan Harper will contact you to schedule your sessions.

 

Full payment for each class or workshop is due at registration.

A 10% discount is available on the second and subsequent camp, class or workshop for families with more than one student, and for students taking more than one camp. [These discounts do not apply to Curtain Call, Second Stage, and Flappers.]

Refunds will be issued for any classes or workshops canceled by Workshop Theatre. Participants who choose to withdraw from a class must do so by 5:00 p.m. on the registration deadline date to receive a refund.

Minimum enrollment for all camps, classes, workshops, troupes, and after school programs is 5 participants.

Workshop reserves the right to remove participants from any classes due to behavior problems.
