WORKSHOP THEATRE FLAPPERS
The Workshop Theatre Flappers are a Broadway-style tap ensemble that allows tappers age 14 and older to combine and display their talents for Midlands audiences.
Auditions for the ensemble are held through weeklong summer "Flapper Camps." During the camps, participants master complex combinations - kickline tricks included - and learn complete vocal and tap routines. Those campers who are invited to join the Flappers then meet once a month, September through May, to refine the routines. The numbers are used to entertain select audiences and participate in a spring competition.
